S1 E11 - Simple Story Techniques - How to Hook a Reader - The Secret History by Donna Tartt

 

In this episode I look at how Donna Tartt hooks a reader through the prologue of her book 'The Secret History'. The prologue (or opening) is arguably the most important part of a book, as a strong opening will entice a reader and get them to read on, while a bad opening will end with them putting the book down instead.
